Stronger Together: A Heartfelt Evening at Rockits Sensory in Tenterden

Last night was something truly special. Hosted at the wonderful Rockits Sensory in Tenterden, their Stronger Together SEN parent meet-up brought together a group of incredible parents and supporters for an evening filled with Prosecco, canapés, laughter and connection.

Events like this remind us of the real strength and solidarity within the SEN community. Parenting a neurodivergent child can sometimes feel isolating, but last night was a reminder that we are never alone on this journey.

Rockits were honoured to welcome some very special guests. The always brilliant and wonderfully down-to-earth Lisa Lloyd (@asd_with_a_g_and_t) brought not only her infectious energy but also a deeply moving poem that left many of us in tears! The good kind. Her words reminded us just how important it is to be seen, heard and understood.

Lucy from Aspens Charity @aspens_charities, spoke about the vital support Aspens offers families navigating the SEN world. (They’ll be back at Rockits on the last Wednesday of every month offering free, face-to-face support right here.)

Harriet from Earley Springs SEN school (@earleysprings) and Laura (@thesendconsultancygroup) joined too, offering their ongoing support. 

More than anything, this event highlighted something we already knew deep down:
We are stronger together. Stronger when we share stories. Stronger when we laugh through the hard moments. Stronger when we show up for one another.

The next SEN parent meet up is…🥁…Prosecco and Paint!
We will be creating our OWN candle masterpiece using the fabulous Penny Wicks kits!

We will pop the Prosecco 🥂, crank the 90’s tunes🎶, and get stuck into this fun, creative activity whilst catching up with fellow SEN mum friends.

As usual, SEN specialists will be attending and special guest tbc!

Tickets £22.99 includes candle decorating kit and a glass of fizz!

The lovely cafe will be open for anyone wanting drinks and cake!
